Frequently asked questions
The questions guests from Hong Kong ask most often. Anything else, just message us.
Where is YU SAUNA?
On the 4th floor of the New Orient Landmark Hotel at Avenida da Amizade 555, in the NAPE district on the Macau peninsula. It is about 2 km from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, roughly ten minutes by car.
Are YU SAUNA and 御桑拿 the same place?
Yes. The venue's Chinese name is 八湯御桑拿 and its English name is YU SAUNA, with 御桑拿 on the signage. You may also see 八湯御, 八湯桑拿, 八湯水療 or 御水療 online; they all refer to this venue.
What are the opening hours?
The venue is open 24 hours. Therapists are on duty from 13:00 until 06:00 the following day, and treatments must fall within that window. The two are not the same thing, so please read them separately.
What does it cost?
Sauna admission, which is also the minimum charge, is MOP 1,199. Shanghai-style massage is MOP 1,999, and packages run from MOP 2,499 to 7,399. The twin add-on (雙鐘), a second therapist in the same hour, costs MOP 999 to 3,900. A 10% service charge applies to everything.
When does the minimum charge start?
The MOP 1,199 minimum charge starts the moment you change.
How do I get there from Hong Kong?
Three usual routes: ferry from Sheung Wan or Tuen Mun to the Outer Harbour Terminal; the shuttle bus over the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge to the Macau port; or entry through the Border Gate from Zhuhai. From any of them it is around ten minutes by car, and booking through this site includes free transfers anywhere in Macau.
What do I get by booking through this site?
A free consultation, two complimentary add-on treatments, and free transfers anywhere in Macau, both on arrival and on the way back.
How do the transfers work?
They are by private car and cover the whole of Macau. When booking, tell us which terminal or checkpoint you are arriving at and roughly when.
What facilities are there?
A hinoki dry sauna, a glass steam room, a hot pool hall, a Chinese lattice corridor, private treatment rooms with in-room bathtubs, wet treatment rooms, a foot treatment area, a recliner lounge, private booths, a dining lounge, showers and changing rooms.
Do I need to book?
It is worth doing. Message on WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE or WeChat before you leave Hong Kong and we will reply with the times available that day, so there is no waiting in the lobby when you arrive.
Can I come late at night?
The venue is open 24 hours, so arriving on the last ferry or a night bridge crossing is fine. Therapists are on duty from 13:00 until 06:00 the following day, so plan around that.
Which languages can I book in?
Enquiries by WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE or WeChat can be made in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese or Korean. This site is published in all five.
How can I pay?
Charges are quoted in Macau patacas (MOP). Please ask about payment methods when you book and we will confirm what the venue accepts that day.
